Material properties

GRÖMO manufactures roof drainage accessories in five different materials with nine different surfaces. Only European vendors are used as suppliers. This guarantees high quality in the raw material, and is a prerequisite for the high quality standards of GRÖMO.

Stainless steel

The first non-rusting stainless steel was patented in 1912. Attempts had already been made years before to improve the corrosion behaviour of steel with steel stabilisers such as nickel and chrome and through heat treatment. Since the 1920’s, stainless steel has been used in many industries due to its shiny surface, including as a design element.
